Who keeps a field visit log
Solo tradespeople and small firms — plumbers, electricians, HVAC, IT support, inspectors — who need a record per visit but not a dispatch system. Also anyone paid per visit who wants their own count to check against the payslip.
The log is the thing that gets filled in because it is fast; the office system gets filled in on Friday from the log.
What a month of visits tells you
Average time per job type is the number that decides whether your quotes make money. Visits per week shows capacity. Parts cost per visit, summed, is a figure most small firms only discover at tax time.
Callbacks stand out in the per-type stats and in the notes. A customer with three entries in a month is telling you something, and the log makes it visible.

Frequently asked
Does it do invoicing or scheduling?
No. It records visits. Parts cost per visit and time on site are there to make invoicing accurate, not to replace it.
Can several technicians share one log?
Shared logs are in development and a team visit log is one of the target use cases. Today each person keeps their own.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Entries save on the phone and sync later, including photos, so a basement job is logged the same as any other.
